Job brief
We’re expanding our On-Demand Talent Network and are looking for Freelance Media Planners to develop and optimize media strategies across digital and traditional channels. This remote, project-based role is ideal for experienced professionals who can translate marketing goals into effective media plans that drive results.
Responsibilities
- Develop cross-channel media plans aligned with client objectives, budget, and KPIs.
- Analyze audience data and market insights to identify the best media mix (digital, programmatic, social, print, OOH, etc.).
- Select media platforms and placements based on performance, targeting capabilities, and reach.
- Collaborate with creative and performance teams to ensure alignment between messaging and media.
- Present and justify media strategies to internal stakeholders or clients.
- Monitor media performance and make recommendations for optimization or reallocation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in media planning, preferably across both digital and traditional channels.
- Strong understanding of media metrics (CPM, CPC, CTR, CPA, ROAS, etc.) and attribution models.
- Proficiency in media planning tools/platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, DV360, Nielsen, Comscore, etc.).
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and budget management skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup and manage multiple clients or campaigns simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with programmatic platforms and DSPs (e.g., The Trade Desk, MediaMath).
- Experience in a media agency or high-growth brand environment.
- Understanding of brand safety, ad fraud, and media compliance best practices.
