On-Demand Talent Network: SEM Specialist

Job brief

We are expanding our On-Demand Talent Network and seeking experienced Freelance SEM Specialists to plan, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns—including Google’s Performance Max—to drive measurable growth for our clients. This is a remote, flexible opportunity for digital marketing professionals who are performance-focused and fluent in modern SEM strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and optimize SEM campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, Shopping, and Performance Max) and Microsoft Ads.
  • Execute keyword research, audience targeting, and campaign structuring to support marketing goals.
  • Build and manage Performance Max campaigns, leveraging automation and asset groups to maximize conversions across all Google inventory.
  • Develop ad copy, assets, and landing page recommendations that align with brand and performance objectives.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily and provide clear reports with strategic insights and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with content, design, and analytics teams to ensure accurate tracking and consistent brand messaging.
  • Test and refine bidding strategies, conversion paths, and A/B tests to improve ROI and lower CPA.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing Google Ads campaigns, including Performance Max.
  • Proficiency in SEM tools: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, Data Studio, and keyword research platforms.
  • Strong understanding of bidding strategies, conversion tracking, audience segmentation, and attribution models.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and make informed optimization decisions.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, particularly in a remote freelance setting.
  • Google Ads Certifications (especially in Search, Shopping, and Performance Max).


Nice to Have

  • Experience with e-commerce, lead generation, or multi-location campaigns.
  • Familiarity with other paid platforms (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Working knowledge of feed management tools like GMC (Google Merchant Center) or data feed optimization platforms.
